PROGRAM

The program was a return visit from Nellie Hernandez of Alzheimer’s San Diego. She reminded members that dementia is a group of symptoms and that Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia. She recommended that members get a memory screening if only to use as a baseline measurement to track any future changes. Alzheimer’s San Diego can do this screening, as well as providing many other forms of support for people dealing with Alzheimer’s/dementia. Their website is: www.alzsd.org.
