November Meeting Minutes by Treasurer Brad Jacobsen
President Mike Bresnahan reminded attendees that the deadline to RSVP for the Holiday Party is December 2, and that this is a firm deadline. He also reminded attendees that we have a food drive going online with a $6000 goal – which we have exceeded by $800, but we can do better.
Natasha Collura of SDCERS informed attendees that SDCERS had its annual meeting concurrent with the Health Fair, and that the Annual Supplemental Benefit check was approved.
Nominating Committee chair Greg Woods reported that all incumbents in positions that were up for election have agreed to continue their terms. He proposed the following slate for member approval:

Vice-President – Programs: Clay Bingham
Vice President – Advocacy: Ramiro Gonzalez
Director: Stacey LoMedico
Director: Joan Hernandez
Director: Joan McNamara
M/S/C to elect the slate of candidates provided by the Nominating Committee.
PROGRAM
Our annual November guest, Dr Carl Luna, shared his thoughts about the current state of politics in the US. He opined that Nick Fuentes and his followers will eventually become a big problem for the Republicans. He also suggested that what both political parties have to offer young people – especially younger white men – is either fear or hope, and that the GOP has been using the first option.
